Yelp Me Please

So, I'm trying to find a restaurant in Laguna Beach, preferably one that has pasta, but doesn't cost an arm and a leg for something that really shouldn't cost more than $15. I went to Yelp and came across Ocean Ave Restaurant and Brewery. Most of the reviews omitted any mention of pasta and the majority of them were more concerned with the party scene. So I meandered over to the restaurant's website.Jackpot, they have pasta and it's reasonable. As I was about to close the browser tab, I see this:



OK, so maybe not. I'm not sure that I really want to go to a restaurant that has a slider at the top of its menu rotating photos of drunk people.

Maybe the pasta comes in shot form, and that's why it's so cheap. ;)

She's not drunk. She's taking a shot. I don't think a place that has a good happy hour necessarily detracts from the food.

I liked the "crab zone" in laguna quite a bit. I thought the food was great. Not sure about pasta. For pasta I go to Mama D's Italian in newport (not that far from laguna). I had a great time. The food was awesome. The staff ... Read Morewere honestly the friendliest I have met in cali. They gave me and the girl a free meatball to let us try 'em. the only drawback is if you don't get there early it gets quite crowded. I think we got there around 5.

Finally pasta connection closed in newport but is in other places... Italian/argentinian blend and very good.
